The Easter Bunny is coming earlier than usual this year but don’t worry! While the Garden does not have any official programming planned for this weekend, there are still plenty of ways to enjoy your time amid our 87 acres, even despite the forecasted rain! From egg hunts to friendship bracelets, spring blooms and more, there is something fun for everyone. Below we have 5 ways to spend an egg-tastic weekend in the Garden.

1. Have an Easter Egg Hunt: Bring your plastic or real eggs into the Garden and have an egg hunt in our designated area – the Lower Meadow. The safety of our collection and guests is our top priority so we ask that you do not hide eggs inside plants or where a guest may have to step into a planter bed. Additional egg hunt guidelines can be found here

2. Join us for goat yoga and matcha: Hit our G.Y.M. class and welcome spring with baby goats, yoga and matcha! While the 10 a.m. class is sold out, there are still a few slots available for the noon class on Saturday, March 30. Bring your mat, camera and good humor for a yoga practice you won’t soon forget, held in a fenced-in area with four furry farm companions. Your purchase for goat yoga includes a 60-minute yoga session followed by a delicious cup of hot matcha, and admission to the Garden all day. Participants must be at least 10 years old, and participants under 16 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult. No experience required. Space is limited, advanced registration is required. 3. Have a picnic: Pack a lunch or pick something up on your way and dine al fresco. The Garden has several lawns and meadows where guests can lay down a blanket and enjoy a meal surrounded by nature. Make sure to check our Garden Restrictions and Closures page to see which lawns and meadows will be open during your visit.

4. Stop by our friendship bracelet pop-up: Make friendship bracelets for you and your bestie using handmade beads made of upcycled paper. The friendship bracelet pop-up will be available on March 31 at the Dorothy and Allen Lay Staghorn Fern Collection from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. No advance registration is required. Bracelets can be purchased onsite.

5. Get an early look at our spring exhibit, Bloom!: While it doesn’t officially open until April 1, our spring exhibit, BLOOM! will be installed before the weekend so guests will get an early look at this stunning exhibit if they visit on March 30 and 31.
