Our Lunar New Year Celebration is back! And this year, we’re switching things up. For one, we’ve extended the celebration to every weekend in February to keep the fun going throughout the month. Read below to find out what all is new this year and then make sure to grab your tickets – they are on sale now!

  • New dates and times: Our Lunar New Year Celebration will take place every Saturday and Sunday in February. Crafts and games will be available in the Lower Meadow from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. And two 30-minute performances will take place at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. These performances include lion dancers, dragon dancers, martial arts demonstrations, drumming and folk dances.
  • New free activities: While some of the activities will be the same as last year, like the calligraphy station, this year you can commemorate the Year of the Dragon by making your very own dragon puppet and lantern at our activity stations located on the Lower Meadow from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. We will also have a new photo opp opportunity available on the Upper Meadow throughout the weekend.
  • New food: Mikhuna is a Chinese-Peruvian fusion food truck that will be serving up some classics like arroz chaufa (fried rice) and tallarin (chow mein) throughout the month. Peru is one of the many places throughout the world where you can see a blending of Chinese and Japanese cultures in its cuisine.
