South Coast Botanic Garden’s mission is rooted in land reclamation and sustainability. With that in mind, we’re going green! We are in the beginning stages of rolling out new digital membership cards that will replace the plastic cards Members currently receive. This new Member benefit will help us cut down in waste, a step forward in our mission of sustainability.

While we are excited, we know change can be hard. New Members will begin receiving the digital membership cards on February 1, but current Members and those who are renewing will roll into the new program in later months. New and renewing Members will receive an email with detailed instructions on how to use their new digital membership cards and there will be a detailed FAQ posted on our website. Of course, if you need more assistance our guest services team is always here to help.

So, how does it work? Your digital membership card is unique to your membership and displays your name, ID number, membership level and expiration date. You will add the digital card to your smartphone’s “wallet” or “passport” for safe keeping, so you’ll never lose your card again! When you’re ready to make an advance reservation, you’ll use your membership ID to reserve your ticket on our website, just as you do today. The digital card also has a link to the reservation form, so you can make a reservation easily from your mobile device.

While the digital cards aren’t being rolled out to all Members on February 1, we wanted to give some advance notice of the change. We are excited to offer this new Member benefit and have our Members directly participate in our mission to go green! More details to come!
