Thomas Dambo’s TROLLS: Save the Humans is the Garden’s latest exhibit that follows six young Trolls who are on a mission to save us humans by reconnecting us with nature. To get the Troll’s message out to other humans, we launched this Troll of the Week series where we can share each Troll’s unique personality and perspective. This week we are sharing more information about their small but mighty leader, Ronja Redeye, the Speaker Troll.

Whatever Ronja lacks in size she makes up for in passion, She feels strongly about being kind and treating everyone fairly. That’s why when she overheard the older Trolls say that humans were not worth saving, she instantly gathered her friends and had a meeting. She gave a captivating speech explaining that we, humans, simply do not understand the consequences of our actions and it is only fair to give us a chance to learn. When you visit Ronja, you’ll notice she is holding a tall flag with the birdhouse symbol painted on it. This flag lets everyone know what their mission is and where to find the Trolls so they can join! Make sure to read all the fun facts below to continue getting to know our speaker Troll and her unique personality.

Fun Facts:

  • She is called Ronja Redeye for the flaming red passion in her eyes when she speaks about something that is important to her – seriously, her eyes are red!
  • She has the gift of communication and compassion. She knows words have the power to make others laugh or cry.
