As we prepare to SOAR this fall with our new exhibit inside the butterfly pavilion, we’re in need of YOUR help. Much like our tropicals exhibit, SOAR – Monarch Migration’s success will rely on our gracious volunteers. That means, we need people like YOU to sign up to be a SOAR Guide! As a SOAR Guide, you’ll be an integral part of the visitor experience, including helping to guide guests through the exhibit, provide educational information and keep the butterflies safe!

Not a monarch expert? Don’t worry! All SOAR Guides are provided training and educational materials to help make their jobs easier and the guest experience special. This is the perfect way to give back to your community, help monarch conservation efforts and spend some quality time with the butterflies!

To become an active volunteer we ask that you complete the one-time online registration, attend Basic Training and have an active SCBG Membership. Once you’re an active volunteer, you’ll also be invited to the Garden’s bi-annual volunteer summits and annual volunteer celebration.

If you’re interested in additional volunteer opportunities, you can see more information here

The Garden has remained open to serve the community by being a place to encourage wellness and health through nature and open space. Please help keep us open for years to come by considering a gift to the Garden. You can do so here.
