There are a lot of places to get your news these days, but going straight to the source is always best! We’ve been hearing a few rumblings lately that the Garden has run out of space (literally) for some of our favorite activities – and that’s simply not the case. While the pandemic has made us pivot in ways we never imagined, including spreading out our team throughout our indoor space to allow them to work physically distanced and safely, we’ve also gotten creative as we ramp back up. What does this mean? Well, here’s a glimpse!

  • Classes are back! We’ve been talking about this for a few weeks now, but we are SO excited to be bringing classes back. While we’re starting slow, we hope to introduce even more classes in the new year. The first class we’re offering is Integrated Pest Management – A Commonsense Approach on September 30 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. After that, we will have two gardening classes per month. If you’ve taken a class from us before, these classes will look different. We are moving all classes out of our classrooms and into the Garden – they are gardening classes afterall! The location for each class will be announced closer to its scheduled date, but some class locations include our beautiful Amphitheater, Koi Pond and Lower Meadow. For a full class schedule, see our new classes page on our website.

  • It’s true, indoor space right now is limited. The good news is, our outdoor space is plentiful! We have let our community groups who are used to meeting at the Garden know that certain outdoor spaces throughout the Garden might be the solution they are looking for. A meeting amidst the inspirational blooms that surround the Amphitheater or next to the babbling waters of the Koi Pond sure sound like the perfect backdrop for your next community meeting experience.

  • We missed them too, and we’re happy to share that plant sales will be coming back this spring! The pandemic may have kept our regular offering of plants to the outdoor kiosk in Palm Circle, but in the coming months, look out for more information about the Spring Plant Sale. Until then, visit the kiosk in Palm Circle for some great finds. Inventory changes weekly.

  • We have welcomed back events of all kinds – weddings, birthday parties, bespoke picnics, corporate rentals and more. There are plenty of available areas for rent (and more coming!). Our events team is happy to assist you in helping to identify your needs and bring them to life. For a full list of venue rental space, please see our events website

So, as you can tell, we are adjusting to these new times just as all of you are. We appreciate our Members and visitors who have stuck by us throughout the pandemic and have adapted to these changes along with us. We look forward to continuing to bring engaging, layered experiences to our 87 acres that keep our gates open to all. In fact, we can’t wait to announce some exciting upgrades coming to the Garden soon! Stay tuned!

The Garden has remained open to serve the community by being a place to encourage wellness and health through nature and open space. Please help keep us open for years to come by considering a gift to the Garden. You can do so here.
