Last week we discussed how far people were coming to see Thomas Dambo’s Trolls: Save the Humans at the Garden. In case you missed it, we’ve had guests from 20 countries and 28 states so far! You may have been asking yourself why people are traveling near and far to meet these six Trolls. Well,  Ronja Redeye, Ibbi Pip and the other members of the Save the Humans gang are actually the second chapter of Dambo’s main fairytale, Trail of a Thousand Trolls. This international fairytale includes our six ambitious Troll friends here at the Garden and more than 125 other Trolls located around the world. Most of these other Trolls are scattered around in nature and require quite a bit of planning to see one, let alone two or three. So to be able to come to the Garden and see six of his Trolls is an experience not to be missed!

To help everyone keep track of the Trolls’ whereabouts, Thomas Dambo and his team created an interactive Troll Map. and we are happy to announce that South Coast Botanic Garden has been officially added to it! This commemorates the first time Dambo’s Trolls have ever been on display in California, and the second time this traveling exhibit has ever been shown in the United States.

Each Troll has a unique personality, so each Troll on the map is worth meeting in person. Whether you’re just beginning your Troll journey or have been on it for awhile now, the Garden is a great place to come meet a number of his Trolls at once!
