The butterflies are back! Immerse yourself amid hundreds of tropical butterflies as we celebrate our 5th year of SOAR!
SOAR features hundreds of tropical butterflies not normally found in Southern California. Your journey begins as you step into the Host and Nectar Garden and wander through beautiful plant species that are part of a butterfly’s habitat. Next, you’ll stop by our Emergence Chamber where you may just see a butterfly emerge from its pupa! And finally, you’ll enter the pavilion where you will have an up-close-and-personal experience with the hundreds of butterflies flying throughout the exhibit.
Butterfly Feeding Experience
Want an even more unique experience? Guests will again have the opportunity to feed our butterflies! Purchase the Butterfly Feeding Experience for an additional $6 and you can use a flower vial filled with nectar to use while inside the pavilion to help entice butterflies to come close to you for the optimum and most immersive experience. There will be one vial per Butterfly Feeding Experience ticket holder, which is returned at the end of the experience.

Why choose one adventure when you can have them ALL? Upgrade your SOAR experience with the Ultimate Ticket and get access to all our exhibits for one incredible price. Bamboozled: An Unexpected Bamboo Adventure is included with General Admission, but with the Ultimate Ticket, you’ll receive the Secret Adventure Ticket—complete with an exclusive map, behind-the-scenes insights, clues and a special tool that unlocks even more discovery. With the Ultimate Ticket, you’ll also gain access to SOAR – Tropical Butterflies, including the magical Butterfly Feeding Experience. The Ultimate Ticket is a $45 value, but if you’re a Member, you get it all for just $26.

GREAT DEAL: A non-member family of five will pay $85 to experience SOAR… OR, for just $25 more, they can purchase a Basic Plus membership AND tickets to the butterfly pavilion for only $105 and get additional Member benefits including unlimited free visits to the Garden for a year.

Please note that Members and non-members alike must purchase a timed ticket in advance. The time you purchase your ticket into the Garden is your time to also enter the butterfly pavilion for SOAR. After your visit to SOAR, you can explore the Garden’s additional collections at your leisure. You may arrive 30 minutes before your timed entrance to explore the outside areas of SOAR before entering the pavilion.
