Country Night at South Coast Botanic Garden’s Sunset Series is about to get even more unforgettable. On Thursday, June 12 at 5:30 p.m., join us for a special performance by Franklin Wall, the heartfelt country duo of Dan Franklin and Stephanie Wall—a couple on and off stage whose chemistry is as genuine as their harmonies.
Dan and Stephanie first met while performing at the beloved Mad T Party at Disneyland. Their friendship quickly blossomed into a musical partnership, and during the pandemic, they found themselves writing original country songs together—songs that now form the soul of Franklin Wall. Though they’ve shared the stage for over 13 years, Franklin Wall officially launched in 2023.
During their performance at the Garden, guests can expect a blend of emotionally rich originals like “You’re So Good” and “The Life You Thought You Had,” as well as high-energy covers of country classics and a few unexpected gems to get the crowd singing and clapping along. You can expect them to cover all the favorites, from legends like Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton, all the way to current radio stars like Morgan Wallen and Lainey Wilson. Every arrangement is crafted with care, but it is the emotional connection they bring to the stage that truly sets them apart.
Joining them on stage will be an exceptional group of musicians: Pat Leon on drums, Nick Schaadt on bass, and Daniel Blank on fiddle, rounding out a sound that’s as polished as it is powerful.
Why You Shouldn’t Miss It
With their signature blend of storytelling and musical depth, Franklin Wall delivers more than a concert—they create a shared experience. Whether you’re a long-time country fan or just in it for the vibes and scenery, this is the perfect way to spend a summer evening. As the couple puts it, “There’s nothing better than playing music outdoors as the sun sets—it’s magical.” (And yes, Stephanie LOVES the flowers!)
