SOAR has been open two weeks now, but the immersive experience will constantly be changing as new shipments of butterflies arrive. In fact, in just two weeks the experience has already morphed! More tropical butterflies were released into the pavilion this week, including the blue morpho butterfly, which is providing the biggest ‘wow’ factor with its elegant flight pattern and vibrant color. Also in the pavilion now is the giant swallowtail, the largest butterfly in North America with a wingspan of up to 7 inches.

Outside of the pavilion, the emergence chamber now has 350 pupae that are all different kinds, colors, shapes and sizes. It’s a spectacular sight, and with so many pupae your chances of getting to watch a butterfly emerge are higher!

So like we said, a lot has already changed in the last two weeks. We will keep you updated on any new shipments we receive that provide even more new and exciting butterflies to see. If you’re interested in visiting SOAR, you can purchase your tickets here. And please be sure to check out our Ultimate How-To Guide for Visiting SOAR before your visit.
