Celebrate the Year of the Snake
South Coast Botanic Garden is excited to host its Lunar New Year Celebration this February! With its winter blooms and lush green foliage, the Garden provides a stunning setting to celebrate the Year of the Snake with Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean traditions. Visitors will be immersed in festive activities every Saturday and Sunday throughout the month. Enjoy hands-on art-making stations where you can create vibrant kites and festive snake puppets, or participate in an interactive plant walk. Other highlights include storytelling, a wishing tree and music. A 360 photo booth will also be available to capture memories of this special event, alongside specialty foods and hand-mixed cocktails for purchase. Three live performances featuring lion dancers, martial artists, folk dancers and drummers will take place each Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m., available for a modest additional fee. See you there!
