As the days grow longer and sunnier, the Garden is bursting with opportunities to connect with nature, spark creativity and spend quality time with friends and family. This June, we’re offering a vibrant mix of workshops that invite you to play, learn and unwind—all in the Garden’s stunning outdoor setting.
Start the month off by fluttering into our Parent & Me: Butterflies 101 class, happening June 6 and again on June 20. This guided experience is perfect for curious young minds (and their grown-ups) who want to explore the magical world of tropical butterflies. You’ll follow the butterflies’ life cycle from the Emergence Chamber to our lush Host and Nectar Garden and finish surrounded by hundreds of colorful butterflies in the SOAR Pavilion. Kids will even create their own butterfly field guides to take home—science learning has never looked so beautiful!
If you’re feeling crafty, join us on June 7 for DIY Succulent Crowns. This hands-on workshop will have you weaving fresh succulents into a one-of-a-kind crown, perfect for a garden stroll or summer selfie. Sip a complimentary cocktail (non-alcoholic options, too) as you bring your crown to life in a relaxed, creative atmosphere.
Mid-month, it’s time to loosen up and laugh at G.Y.M. Goat Yoga and Mimosas, happening June 14 and 15. Yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like: an all-levels outdoor yoga class complete with live goats and a mimosa to toast your efforts afterward. Bring your mat and sense of humor—this crowd-favorite sells out fast!
On June 21, creativity meets sustainability at our Upcycled Paper Bead Making workshop. Learn how to turn everyday materials into unique, wearable art. This family-friendly class is a great way to bond with loved ones while exploring the art of upcycling in a relaxed, inspiring setting.
Need a little serenity with your artistry? Our Paint & Sip: Bamboo Wind Chimes workshop on June 28 offers the perfect blend of creativity and calm. Design and paint your own bamboo chimes while enjoying a wine flight, all surrounded by the sights and sounds of the Garden. You’ll leave with a wind chime that brings a touch of nature to your own outdoor space.
And for our dog-loving community, we haven’t forgotten you! Wrap up the month with Sit & Stay Awhile: Basic Tips to Socialize Your Pet on June 29. This engaging meet-and-greet session will guide you and your pup through proper leash greetings, reading canine body language and tips to make social outings smoother and safer for everyone.
Whether you’re here to learn, create, move—or just soak in the natural beauty—June’s workshops offer something for every age and interest. Don’t miss the chance to grow new skills and make memories that will last long after summer ends.
