South Coast Botanic Garden continues to be open and remains a place to enjoy the wonders nature holds. We hope you will find peace and optimism here amid all the troubling news around COVID-19. The safety of our staff, volunteers, members, and visitors remains our primary concern. Following health agency advice, we are taking a number of precautions, including regularly wiping down commonly touched surfaces and providing access to hand sanitizer.
In response to this serious crisis, South Coast Botanic Garden has decided to cancel all public events through March 31 in an effort to respond to the need for social distancing. Our gardens remain open, as we know that in stressful times, they have been a place of immense respite and restoration. Our 87 acres of gardens provide spaces where healthy visitors can easily enjoy the collections while observing social distancing recommendations. We invite you to stroll through our Garden, taking advantage of the blossoming signs of spring. Because this is a fluid situation, we recommend that you consult our website or social media platforms before visiting.
The following programs are being postponed or canceled:
  • Family Fun Night (March 13 – postponed to June 21)
  • South Coast African Violet Show and Sale (March 14 & 15)
