“Wish Upon the Moon”

Come learn about our nearest celestial neighbor, The Moon, from formation, exploration, recent Lunar and Solar Eclipses as well as light and shadow features and effects on its surface.

Geovanni Somoza is an informal educator and has become a fixture in the Southern California astronomy outreach community. He is President Emeritus of the Los Angeles Astronomical Society and currently serves on its Board of Directors, Outreach Coordinator at The Planetary Society, Telescope Demonstrator at Griffith Observatory, Telescope Operator and Session Director at Mount Wilson Observatory as well as co-founder of the Safe Place in Space organization.

Join us for a one of a kind exploration of the Garden – under a full moon, flashlights not required! Enjoy a presentation on the Earth’s moon and view the final full moon of the winter by telescope.  Afterward, guests will be treated to s’mores and light refreshments. Dress for the weather. Reservations required.

RSVP required.
