Get ready to shake things up this holiday season with festive, garden-inspired cocktails and mocktails! On Sunday, December 8, from 2 – 3:30 p.m., join us for How to Grow a Cocktail-Inspired Garden, a fun and educational workshop about turning ingredients from your garden into delicious drinks. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just starting out, this class will teach you how to grow, harvest and transform herbal ingredients into seasonal infusions and syrups that elevate any gathering.
Led by our expert staff, this workshop offers a lively mix of gardening tips and mixology techniques. Our Director of Living Collections, Terry Huang, will start by diving into the essentials of cultivating herbs and plants ideal for infusions. Then, our Special Events and Filming Coordinator, Jessica Lescord, will show you how to transform these fresh ingredients into flavorful additions for spirits and mocktails. After the demonstrations, enjoy a seasonal cocktail happy hour featuring a Vanilla-Plum Vodka Spritz, a Cinnamon-Apple Hot-Buttered Rum and some holiday music. You’ll savor these two expertly crafted drinks during the class and take the recipes home to recreate them for your own festivities.
This outdoor event is designed to be interactive, fun and approachable, with plenty of time for Q&A so you can get expert advice on all things plants and cocktails. Plus, you’ll be able to connect with fellow cocktail enthusiasts and learn how to add a personal touch to your drinks with herbs and ingredients from your garden.
