As we wrap up 2024, the Garden is already buzzing with excitement for what’s to come in 2025! Over the past few months, we’ve been vision-boarding, brainstorming and planning to make the upcoming year even more magical. From fan-favorite events to brand-new experiences, next year is shaping up to be one for the books. And who knows? There might even be a surprise or two in store! Keep reading to discover five things we can’t wait to share with you in 2025.
1. Lunar New Year: We’re thrilled to bring back our Lunar New Year Celebration this February for a third year! The Garden will transform into a vibrant and festive space to welcome the Year of the Snake. Every Saturday and Sunday, guests can enjoy Lunar New Year art-making stations, calligraphy demonstrations, a wishing tree, storytelling, a 360 photo booth and specialty cocktails and food for purchase. Three live performances featuring lion dancers, martial artists, folk dancers and drummers will take place each Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m., available for a modest additional fee. Tickets are on sale now!
2. Spiked: A Celebration of Agave: In March, we’re diving into the fascinating world of agave with an all-new event called Spiked! Guests can look forward to tequila and mezcal tastings, music, entertainment and additional activities to learn about the artistry and tradition behind the uses of agave. Stay tuned for more exciting details about this event!
3. SOAR – Tropical Butterflies: This spring, SOAR – Tropical Butterflies returns for its fifth year, bringing the magic of tropical butterflies back to the Garden! This immersive experience offers a rare chance to encounter these stunning pollinators up close, surrounded by a habitat filled with vibrant blooms. From the captivating Emergence Chamber to the butterfly-filled pavilion, SOAR is a feast for the senses and a celebration of nature’s beauty.
4. Sunset Series: Get ready for the return of a summertime favorite—Sunset Series! Back for its fourth year, this after-hours event invites guests to explore the Garden during the cooler, golden hours of summer. With 87 acres to roam, you can take in the beauty of the Garden, unwind with a refreshing cocktail and enjoy bites to eat from Dottie’s at the Koi Pond. Add in lawn games and live music and you’ve got the perfect recipe for a relaxing and fun night out surrounded by nature. This year’s event will feature even more dates and a brand-new stage!
5. Surprise Spring Exhibit: Springtime at the Garden is always something special, and this year we have an exciting new exhibit in the works that will have guests flocking to the Garden! While we can’t share all the details just yet, the above image gives you a small taste of what’s to come. It will be a celebration of nature that will delight visitors of all ages.
