Woody Minnich returns to the Society to tell about his adventures photographing some of the world’s weirdest plants in a truly out-of-the-way place — Socotra, an island just south of Yemen.   The Cactus & Succulent Society meets the second Sunday of the month. Free with Garden admission Location: Frances Young Hall Begonias are among the favorite foliage plants of gardeners and horticulturalists. They are found in rainforests and prefer a semi-shady location. Begonias do very well in Southern California. They are especially attractive in pots but also thrive planted in the garden. No registration required.
