Aloe elgonica

A clumping aloe with clean, tight leaves armed with teeth and bearing a pink "blush" at the center of the leaf rosettes. The inflorescence is a branching spike with bright red flowers. This is an excellent garden aloe for the South Bay with a growth height under two feet.  Photos by Laurel Woodley
