Agave x leopoldii

This plant is of garden hybrid origin (Agave filifera x filifera ssp. schidigera) and does best in full sun with good soil drainage.  The leaf margins have white curling fibers giving the whole plant a hairy look and the leaf apex has a single spine. Individual rosettes are approximately 1' H. x 1' W. but with time there may be offsets producing a medium sized mound.  Photos by Laurel Woodley
