Designated areas in the Garden
Included with paid Garden admission
Fall marks the transition from summer to winter, the arrival of night becomes noticeably earlier, and nighttime temperatures are cooler. Deciduous trees begin to shed their leaves. The process of photosynthesis comes to an end and stops the production of chlorophyll. The green color fades from the leaves leaving the beautiful browns, reds, and yellows. While there are few trees in our part of southern California that change color, there are some. Visit the Garden and see the different trees that either shed their leaves or change to fall colors. Picnics are not provided, but feel free to bring your own and picnic in the designated areas in the Garden.
