The medicinal powers of herbs, vegetables and fruits have been valued for thousands of years. And, in recent years, numerous studies have shown that a diet rich in vegetables and fruits can help prevent and reduce the damage from diseases such as heart disease and cancer.
This class will show you how to grow plants that have been shown to promote better health and wellness, as well as the health benefits of gardening itself. We will discuss plant selection, plant schedules, planting from seed and starter plants, basic soil preparation, water, sun and climate requirements, harvesting, and gardening resources. Organic gardening practices will be encouraged.
