$8 per class members / $10 per class non-members (fees for the formal classes support the garden plot, supplies, and work days)
Instructor: Judith Gerber (firstname.lastname@example.org)
We are pleased to offer this exclusive opportunity through a program at the Torrance Memorial Learning Garden. Participants can learn how to grow an edible garden and actually work in a garden plot. This year-round program features formal classes/lectures, work days, and much more. In addition to these more formal classes, there are ongoing “work” days that include hands-on instruction in topics such as plant selection, soil preparation, fertilizing, natural pest control, irrigation, general garden maintenance, and harvesting/deadheading. Class is limited to six participants for daytime classes only.
#1) Peak of the Season Tomato Tasting: Monday, September 9, 9 am
#2) *What Went Wrong in My Vegetable Garden This Summer?: Monday, September 30, 9 am, or Monday, September 30, 6 pm
#3) Harvest Party/Fall Decorating from the Garden: Monday, October 14, 9 am
#4) *Create Your Own Garden Sanctuary: Monday, November 4, 9 am or Monday, November 4, 6 pm

*CAN’T MAKE THE DAYTIME CLASS? We are offering evening “repeats” of most daytime classes at South Coast Botanic Garden. Contact Judith Gerber at (310) 543-1917 or email@example.com for more information.
(All daytime classes meet at Columbia Park Community Garden Presentation Area, weather permitting. Instructor will notify participants if there is a change in meeting place. Columbia Park is located at 4045 W. 190th Street in Torrance.)
