Eucalyptus Leaf Bettle

Scientific Name: 
Chrysophtharta sp.

This introduced beetle chews on the outer edges of eucalyptus leaves and when not feeding rests in the leaf axils.  Not all species of eucalyptus are favored but those that are preferred are often disfigured by heavy feeding.  Photos by Laurel Woodley
