    Be one of the first to preview and purchase plants.  Enjoy swapping garden talk with other garden enthusiasts.  Light appetizers and wine.   RSVP to the Foundation office at (310) 544-1948.  $20 per person in advance and $25 at the door.

  • Rose Show

    The rose is one of the oldest flowers known to man and still one of the most popular.  The rose is the flower is love.  It was created by Chloris, the Greek goddess of flowers. An All American Rose Society (AARS) Judged Show.  Beautiful blooms will be on display:  Floribunda, Hybrid tea, and old garden Roses.  Some roses and tools will be available for purchase.  Expert advice from Rose Society members.

    With their beginnings in racing, the legendary Ferrari has been in production since 1943.  Since then, company cars, have racked up over 5,000 successes on race tracks and roads all over the world.  Come to see these legendary cars on the Upper Meadow.

    Norman has created a very special niche with his irreverent comedy and skillful music. He has written and recorded songs for Disney Records, Shari Lewis, CBC syndicated TV show "Scoop & Doozie”, and most recently the live musicals for “Max & Ruby” and “Toopy and Binoo”. Norman has received four Parents Choice and NAPPA Gold Awards, Pacific Music Industry Awards, Socan’s Songwriter of the year award and most recently, 2010 JUNO & WMCA awards. His music videos include “One Thousand Pennies”, “Lets Sing a Song,” and “The Progress of Man”.

    Spirati is a woodwind quintet group comprised of Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, French Horn, and Bassoon.  Founded in 2009 Spirati is associated with the Clap and Tap Chamber Orchestra and School.  This Children’s Concert will feature storytelling works for children, with works by Prokofiev (Peter and the Wolf), Berio (Opus Number Zoo), and many others.  Children will love the interaction of the musical instruments as they tell a tale.  On the Lower Meadow.  Bring a picnic.

  • Ornamental Tree & Shrub Care

    Learn proper care for your ornamental trees and shrubs.  Instruction will include correct pruning methods, mulching and watering.  Rick will also discuss insect and disease control.  Finish with a pruning demonstration.  Raffle.  Lecture included with paid garden admission.

  • Windy Ridge Bluegrass Band

    Bring Dad for a picnic and concert for Father’s Day!  Windy Ridge Bluegrass Band will again be performing on the Upper Meadow.  WRBB consists of a wide range of vocal and instrumental talents for your enjoyment. Windy Ridge Bluegrass Band's focus of performing "The Old Time Way" around a single microphone provides for added interest as they choreograph their movements to feature vocals and instruments.  The band plays favorite standards as well as original music. 

    Bring a picnic on the Upper Meadow along with a blanket and/or beach chair.
