The Palos Verdes Symphonic Band is a local non-profit band. They play concerts at a number of different venues in the South Bay and neighboring communities. This 50 person band is led by maestro Grant Sevdayan, their repertoire includes ‘Big Band’, jazz, show tunes, and marches and folk favorites from American and around the world. Bring a blanket and or beach chairs and a picnic and enjoy the music of the band on the Upper Meadow.

This 50 person symphonic band is under the direction of David Stanton and consists of local musicians who wish to bring you the best of concert band music. Their repertoire includes Big Band, jazz, show tunes, marches and folk favorites from America and around the world. Bring a blanket or beach chairs and enjoy a picnic this holiday weekend.

The 19th annual Model Train show at the garden. Sponsored by the Los Angeles Division of the National Model Railroad Association. The finest modular clubs will be represented. Tracks will be set up in the Hall as well as the Cactus Garden. This show is popular for all ages.

Charlotte formed her Hug Bug Band and proceeded with the independent production and release of "10 Carrot Diamond," which won the Canadian Juno Awardin 1986. Her career turned professional and international overnight, and "10 Carrot Diamond" is a Certified Gold Record in Canada. She is also known for favorites like "Four Hugs a Day," "I am a Pizza," "Octopus (Slippery Fish)," and "Dicky Dinosaur." Her music, as well as being lively and singable, inspires children to care for each other and to celebrate the diversity of our cultural mosaic with songs like "Leave the World a Little Better." Charlotte's concerts are fun for kids, but parents and grandparents will be captivated by her music as well.

Bring a picnic and enjoy Cherry Blossom season at the garden. Cherry Blossoms are an omen of good fortune and also an emblem of love, affection, and represents spring. Enjoy nature and celebrate the beauty of the cherry blossoms! The upper and lower meadows will be open for picnicking Saturday, March 5. Tram tours will run at 11 am, noon, 1 pm, and 2 pm and costs $4 per person.
African Violets are one of America’s most popular houseplants. Under the right growing conditions, they are able to bloom almost continuously. They are available in many colors and growth-habits. Knowledgeable society members will be on hand to answer your questions. Plants and potting mix will be available to purchase. Sponsored by the South Coast African Violet Society.
