  • Oriental Impressionistic Watercolor

  • Camera Basics

    Students will learn camera operation to properly expose images and strengthen composition, as well as review equipment, formats, and features. Instructor teaches simple icon settings, metering systems, apertures and shutter speeds, film speeds (ISO), and light temperatures (white balance).  PowerPoint presentations are given along with simple take-home learning assignments.  All skill levels, any camera (digital or film, automatic or adjustable) welcome.  Bring camera and manual to first class.

  • Basic Drawing

    Weave a beautiful pine needle basket around an ornate center.  Pine needle basketry uses the ancient yet universal weaving technique of ‘coiling’ that stiches a continuous core around and onto foundation rows.  Receive personal hands-on instruction to create your own woven pine needle basket to take home.  Bring a sack lunch.  Limited to15 entries.

  • Needle Felting Art Workshop

    Instructor:  Jessica Anderson, local Artist

    Learn how to use a single needle to sculpt colored wool into fun 3D objects.  Participants will create a small project to get familiar with the concepts central to this unusual art form.  This workshop will take you through the steps of creating an adorable bird ornament to hang in your window or on your favorite tree, while teaching you basic techniques that can be used to create many different pieces.
