    Join us for this awesome art class that introduces the Great Masters! From Frank Lloyd Wright to Van Gogh, to Andy Warhol to Monet, students will learn how to work with a variety of materials and take home a work of art each week. Imagination, creativity, and innovation are at the forefront of this great class. Come join the fun – a great way to enhance critical thinking, develop problem solving skills, and let that imagination soar! Class is limited to 16 participants.

Participants can learn how to grow an edible garden and actually work in a garden plot. This year-round program features formal classes/lectures, work days, and much more. In addition to these more formal classes, there are ongoing “work” days that include hands-on instruction in topics such as plant selection, soil preparation, fertilizing, natural pest control, irrigation, general garden maintenance, and harvesting/deadheading.   • Small Space Vegetable Gardening - Summer 2013

    $25 members / $35 non-members

    Instructor: Judith Gerber

    If you can provide three basics: sun, water, and great soil, you can grow your own vegetables regardless of how much space you have. Come and learn how to grow edibles in a small space using easy space saving tricks including vertical and container gardening, raised beds, and the best varieties for limited space. We will also discussplant selection, basic soil preparation, plant location (including water, sun, and climate requirements), and gardening resources.

  • Creating a Fall Edible Garden - Summer 2013 (Series Begins August 10 - NEW START DATE AND END TIME)

    This four-week course will provide you with all the information you need to grow a cool-season edible garden including fruits, vegetables, and herbs. We will discuss plant selection, plant schedules, planting from seed and starter plants, basic soil preparation, water, sun and climate requirements, harvesting, and gardening resources. We will also discuss various approaches to edible gardening including raised beds, container gardening, and in ground directly. Organic gardening practices will be encouraged.
