As a former landfill, the Garden is a wonderful example of the importance of reducing waste in our daily lives. While eliminating waste may not be very easy for many of us, using food waste is a sustainable way to help our plants thrive and is easy enough for anyone. Join UC Master Gardener, Liza Go, for an introductory look at composting and the impact it can make on your garden. Students will take a hands-on approach to learning the recipes of composting, the things to watch out for and how to turn one person’s trash into another person’s treasure.
