Container Gardening is one of the easiest ways to start growing and enjoy homegrown vegetables and herbs if you have limited space, poor soil, problems with gophers and other pests, or don’t have a yard. Even if you do have a yard, container gardening is a simple way to grow edibles that don’t need a large area to grow in.

This class will provide you with all the information you need to grow spring edibles best suited for containers and will include information on growing vertically, soils and amendments, and caring for your containers. You will also make your own “living salad bowl” (includes container, soil, and lettuce plants) to take home to get your container garden started. Class is limited to 20 participants.
