  • History of Farming in the South Bay

    Los Angeles County was the nation’s top farm county from 1909 to 1950, when the county, including the South Bay, was a boom in post-World War II residential development and suburbs replaced farm acreage.  Judi will walk you through the evolution of the South Bay’s agricultural heritage and beginnings.

    Have fun studying and identifying many of the species of birds found in southern California.  Classes will use slides, videos, printed materials as well as discuss birding books, binoculars, and periodicals.

    Sponsored by the Ferrari Club of America - Southwest Region.  With their beginnings in racing, the legendary Ferrari has been in production since 1943.  Since then, company cars have racked up over 5,000 successes on race tracks and roads all over the world.  Come to see these legendary cars on the Upper Meadow.
