Be sure to put these important dates on your calendar!  This year's Plant Sale will be part of the Botanic Garden's 50th Anniversary Open House on Saturday, April 17 from 9am - 4pm.

There will be various activities planned as part of the celebration like Children's activities, Garden Tours, a raffle and more!

We will again host a number of outside vendors .  As always, we recommend that you shop early and bring your own cart or wagon for ease of transporting all those plants!  And remember, cash or check only please.

The Member's Only Preview Night will take place on Friday, April 16 from 5pm to 7pm.  Admission is $15 per person, in advance, and $20 at the door and includes a glass of wine and light snacks.  This year the Plant Sale and Preview Night will be help outdoors on the Upper Meadow, so dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes.

Lots of plants to browse!

2009 Fall Plant Sale

The 2009 Fall Plant Sale and Member's Preview Night was a success!  We'd like to thank all our volunteers from Propagation Workshop for growing such a wonderful selection of landscape plants.   They always produce such unique plants that you cannot find in the home stores/nurseries.  We'd also like to thank everyone else that volunteered from our Foundation Office, helping to cashier, bring in new members, help with retrieving carts, 'Plant Guru', lunch service, and everything else in general.  Without all this support, it couldn't have happened.

Friday's Member Preview Night was a lot of fun!  Two hours goes by fast and people are in the shopping mood.  Plants are flying out the door!  Thanks to Propagation Workshop and Kathleen Brown for the delicious hors d'oeuvres and wine that we all noshed on.  Many of the SCBGF Trustees were on hand to pour wine and help host the fundraiser.

Also a big thanks to all the vendors who helped round out the event.  We had a fabulous and varied selection of plants to offer.

And thank you to the community for coming our in force and supporting the Garden and Foundation with your purchases.  This is a much anticipated event, and it showed.

Sincerely,

South Coast Botanic Garden Foundation
