South Coast Botanic Garden Foundation

The South Coast Botanic Garden Foundation was incorporated in 1961 with the primary mission to assist the County of Los Angeles in developing and maintaining the Garden, and to educate the public in the science of horticulture. It is a non-profit, 501c3 organization (EIN: 95-6062220).

With a membership of over 4,000 individuals and families, the Foundation sponsors and co-sponsors education programs, classes, school tours, lectures, horticultural plant and flower shows, concerts, children's concerts, and plant sales. Fundraising events are held regularly to help supplement the County of Los Angeles with funds for ground maintenance, garden improvements and new plant additions.

A strong volunteer program (approximately 150 volunteers) assists the professional staff in all Garden operations - maintenance, public service programs, and fund raising.

Memorials
Gifts made in memory or in honor of someone helps to celebrate the life of a loved one, a birth, or to honor a milestone. A memorial bench or the planting of a tree are just some of the ways your gift can live on. Please call the Foundation office at (310) 544-1948 for additional information.
