Aloe betsileensis

This aloe forms a solitary rosette with small red teeth along the leaf margins.  Young plants produce a single cone-like inflorescense while as the plant matures the flower spike produces three to four branches.  The flower buds are orange and open to form yellow flowers with a short tube.  Photos by Laurel Woodley
