$40 for members’ children / $50 for non-members’ children

$30 materials fee per child (payable to instructor)

Instructor: Robin Bott

 

Robin has taught at many local schools and art programs including Palos Verdes Art Center, Angels Gate Cultural Center, Los Angeles County of Education, Rolling Hills Methodist Church Kid Zone, and Long Beach Parks and Recreation Arts and Music Camp along with visiting local schools to teach under-privileged kids. Robin loves working with children and teaches art to all ages from preschool to adults. She has conducted children’s art workshops and birthday parties sometimes including a puppet show featuring original characters such as “Vera the Magnificent” a flamboyant mystic to “Dr. Smiley” a toothless dentist. Robin works with many different medias and her works are frequently noted for their whimsical style with her inspiration rooted in dreams. For the past five years she has been focusing on teaching others to create mosaic murals.

 

Come join the fun! Learn how to make hand puppets, simple marionettes, rod puppets, and assemble your own puppet theatre! Students will work with a variety of materials such as: clay, Styrofoam, fabric and more.
