Workshops will introduce the principals of floral arrangements developed over 550 years ago by Ikenobo Ikebana. Ikenobo expresses an appreciation of the natural world of plants and flowers. The goal is to create a beautiful and meaningful composition with a focus on balance and harmony. Workshops will include a lecture and demonstration followed by guided participation on your own arrangements.

The February 14th workshop will recognize Valentine's Day, and participants will create their own arrangements featuring roses.

*Students should bring a decorative bowl or vase, scissors or small shears and a Pin Frog if available.

Learn how to design an asymmetrical, beach-inspired flower arrangement in a white-footed compote container that is perfect for any South Bay home in this hands-on floral design workshop. Flower Duet teaches students how to choose the freshest cut flowers, which flowers and greenery combine well together to make a cohesive design, how to compose the design and make it last a long time. Students take home their designs.
